THRESHOLD Keyboardist Producing POWER QUEST

November 20, 2007

THRESHOLD keyboard player Richard West has just returned home to the UK from Remaster Studios in Italy where he's been co-producing the fourth POWER QUEST album.

POWER QUEST is the brainchild of ex-DRAGONFORCE keyboard player Steve Williams and the band recently signed with Napalm Records, home of such acts as SERENITY, VINTERSONG and EDENBRIDGE.

The CD is due to be mixed in January 2008 by Nick Savio (WHITE SKULL).

Richard West also worked on the last two DRAGONFORCE albums but is unsure if he'll be involved in the group's fourth CD. "DRAGONFORCE forgot to acknowledge me on the last record so they'll have to do better next time!" he said. "They're good guys though so I hope to work with them again."

Asked about future THRESHOLD plans, West commented, "We've got our final show of the year with WITHIN TEMPTATION on Saturday. After that we're going to sit down and work out where to go next. With our original singer Damian Wilson back in the lineup we've been putting on the best shows of our career, so I hope we can do some more touring before we start thinking about any new material. We need to see where Damian's at, though. He's also in HEADSPACE with Adam Wakeman so we're officially borrowing him at the moment while Adam's out playing for OZZY OSBOURNE".

THRESHOLD's first retrospective, "The Best Of Threshold - The Ravages Of Time", is out this week through Inside Out/SPV Records.
